It is a world that rests on Science to state simply, where complexities involving probity, proof, profundity and profanity at times, featuring individual knowledge, intellect and more so, the very diverse nature of being human in an individual’s case, rests in consideration.
Bah, too complex that it is, as one may say! But yes, human nature does play a vital role. Guess what, if Newton sat up to not switch on his inquisitiveness to probe the fall of apple on him, and rather seek it as ‘manna from heaven’ and simply devour it!
Another striking example among countless others is the one of Madame Curie. She spent tireless hours in her laboratory stifling her grief of an early personal loss of her husband to discover Radium. Be it to kill her grief or elevating herself on a higher plane of thoughts empowering humanity to succeed in all its pursuits, is indeed what the subject of Science has emerged from – the indomitable human spirit!
Those countless hours which great Indian scientist Prof C V Raman poured over his spectroscope to identify one among many hidden traits of a ray of light that opened an entirely new spectrum of science and earned him the prestigious Nobel Prize, too!
Right from Aryabhata, to Newton, to Albert Einstein, Werner Heisenberg, Subrahmanyan Chandrashekhar or even Prof Venki Ramakrishnan (studied at Baroda, Gujarat, India), among several stalwarts having recorded invaluable discoveries and findings, have led them all to save, benefit and prosper humanity; need to be generously and graciously saluted as well as celebrated.
Discoveries, inventions, claims and counter claims; we will all be tempted to attempt all in unravelling what Science is all about, here.
